We Celebrate

God’s faithfulness and presence at June’s General Synod which met in Holland, MI.  Thank you for your prayers for the delegates and their meetings.

 

Pastor Don Poest, who serves at the Brunswick Reformed Church was elected Vice President.  Pastor Don is the father of Christopher Poest, who serves as pastor of the Faith Community Reformed Church in Stickney, IL, Synod of Mid America.  After the announcement was made that Pastor Don won the election, Christopher prayed for his father at General Synod, what a memorable moment. 

 

Please pray for the new GS President, James Seawood, who serves at the Brighton Heights Reformed Church in Staten Island, NY and Pastor Poest as they step into their leadership positions and serve coming year.  May the Lord bless them and keep them…Numbers 6:24-26.

 

 

We celebrate the good work the Lord is doing throughout the Illinois Classis.

This month please pray for the pastors, churches and congregations of the Illinois Classis.  Please email or traditionally mail a note of encouragement to a pastor within this classis.  Your note will be a blessing to them.  Please remember to pray for all the churches within our Synod.

We give praise with Heartland Community Church in Lafayette, IN as they celebrate the dedication of their new church building on June 21st.

 

Pray for the Synod of Mid-America Executive Council Conference Call June 23rd.

 

Pray for the Church Planning and Development Committee of the Illinois Classis and the leaders of The Crossing, a new church start, in Davis Junction, IL on the decision on leasing a building for the use in public worship.

 

Pray for the Wisconsin Restructure team as they prepare new by-laws and other materials on restructure for presentation at a special Wisconsin Classis meeting on Aug. 18th.
